Birthday cakes

So i thought i would do something different in this post it is still something i have made but its baking instead of sewing :) Last week on wednesday was my baby girls 2nd birthday i cant believe how fast the last 2 years have gone she isnt really a baby anymore:( And its her big brother brads 5th birthday on xmas day so every year we celebrate his birthday early so he gets his own special day.So we had his party on sunday so we had a busy week so this year i decided to do nice quick cakes but they still looked pretty neat i had a lot of comments on them.So here they are.

So lately i have made a few blankets here's just a couple of pics of some that i have done the giraffe print/bright pink one was for annalise and she just loves it i had been looking for a cute blanket for her for ages and just couldnt find one at a decent price so decided to make some myself.The apple one went to my sil for her little girl and she has said she has had alot of comments on it and has had a few people ask if they can get one so looks like i will be making a few more to sell:) I am off to spotlight tomorrow to see what fabrics i can find!

My friends little boy had his 1st birthday last weekend and i had a sick kid so didnt have a chance to pop into town so i made him a rocket ship top.

I found these big buttons in one of the sewing shops a couple of weeks ago and decided one of them would look great as a cherry on one of my cupcakes so i done a cupcake top for annalise

We had some friends visiting from aussie a couple of weeks ago while they were here i made there boy a couple of tops.

My mil gave me some fabric and i feel in love with this piece there was just enough to make annalise a skirt out of it.

I have gone a bit crazy making crayon rolls i now have a great stash of them and have also got a nice stash of colouring books to go with them:)

Annalise's new top that i made her today the pattern is out of my japanese sewing book that i have i think i will next make a dress out of it.

And the last of all this is the start to my summer sewing.A pair of shorts for kyle.They were meant for bradley but he didnt like how long they were so they fitted kyle perfectly so they are now his and bradley has put a order in for ben 10 shorts so will go hunting for some ben 10 fabric:)

Well it has been a while since i last updated my blog but i have also been a bit slack with the sewing also.I have done a few bits and pieces but not alot but with summer on the way i have been to spotlight and done a shop for some pretty fabrics and will get started on the summer stuff for annalise and some bits for the boys.Here's some pics of some of the stuff i have done over the last couple of months.

Here is a beautiful knitted dress my mil done for my darling little girl it looks so cute on and its made with a merino wool so will be nice and warm for winter.I havent taken photos but she has also done a cream jacket and we have a couple of cardis been done as well.I love knitted stuff i think they look so nice and snuggly when dressed in it:)

I have been so bad about keeping my blog up to date but i am going to try my hardest to keep it up todate from now on.

So to start off with here is a couple of dresses i have made for annalise in the last week.The denim one has wool in the denim so it should be nice and warm for the winter for her.It was my first time at doing metal snaps and after wrecking one set i finally worked out how to do it right.Now i have to go and get some more:) The second dress/top is meant to be a summer one with bloomers to match but i decided to make it out of cord and team it up with a pair of plain jeans(well once i find a pair of plain jeans).

I done a craft swap with a group of ladies over at the stroller and pram website and i love what i recieved.A gorgeous pinnie for my little girl and a eco bag for me.I will also add some photo's later of what i made.Here is some pics of what i got.Thankyou Lisa:)

I entered annalise in the miss tiny tot competion last weekend for fun and she ended up being in the top 5 :) There was 22 girls 5 and under.Didnt end up with a placing but she did end up on the front page of mondays paper.Apparently the photographer loved her! Annalise was on the stage waving,blowing kisses and dancing it was so cute :) I made her a outfit for her to wear and i am glad i did in the end all the other girls were wearing things that were all really similar :)Here's a couple of pics

A couple of the nappies i have made

Well this is my first entry in my blog:) A little about myself. I am a sahm with 3 gorgeous kids 2 boys kyle 7 and bradley 4 and one little girl annalise 14mths.I have always enjoyed sewing but only really done crafty things like making teddybears etc. But since having a little girl i have started doing colthes and am loving it it is so much fun.This pic is of annalise a couple of months ago wearing my first go at a shirred dress . I have also been doing skirts and appliqued tops and some bibs and taggy blankets for friends babies:) have also been making my own cloth nappies.
